Listen to Song

Me and my daddy and my brother sitting on the front porch looking at the starry sky

I'm on the one side he's on the other; Daddy in the middle with a lonesome lullaby

Here Milacki Here Mijacki come along boys, you're almost home

Here Milacki Here Mijacki come along poor boys - come on home

Growin' up poor never seemed to matter; only kind of livin' that some folks ever knew

All for one and one for the other; hard working' people just doin' what they had to do

Day and night daddy workin' at the foundry pouring out steel and sweatin' in the burning heat

Kids in the school house, momma in the kitchen; everybody doing what they can just to make ends meet

But come Sunday that was the one day Momma went to meetin' and all of the kids did too

Shoutin' and singing and joy bells ringing'; whole lot of prayin' till they knew that they'd prayed thru

Now momma and daddy have gone to glory, livin' in the land where no one ever dies

'Till that day I see them there; I remember his lonesome lullaby
